Invitation to the Congress

The International Teacher Education and Accreditation Congress (ITEAC), traditionally held biennially, will this year be hosted by Marmara University in collaboration with the Faculty of Education of Marmara University, between 16–17 October 2026 in Istanbul. The aim of the congress is to share knowledge and experiences on quality assurance systems and accreditation at an international level, while also raising awareness and consciousness in the field.

EPDAD is an independent accreditation agency authorized by the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YÖKAK), responsible for the accreditation of teacher education programs in Türkiye. By organizing various activities on accreditation, evaluation, and quality assurance, EPDAD aims to contribute to the enhancement of educational quality in our country, thereby fostering the training of more qualified teachers who embrace and implement contemporary approaches. Through interaction with international stakeholders on diverse platforms, EPDAD also contributes to the improvement of education quality at the global level. EPDAD is a full member of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) and represents Türkiye at the board level.

We will be honored to invite you to share your scientific studies addressing trends, policies, and models that will enhance quality assurance in teacher education and shed light on accreditation practices, at the International Teacher Education and Accreditation Congress (ITEAC 2026).
