Graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1992. Completed Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Pharmacy at Marmara University. Promoted to Associate Professor in 2011 and Full Professor in 2017.

Co-founded the Clinical Pharmacy Association in 1998 and currently serves as a member of its Board of Directors. Served as the President of the Turkish Pharmacists' Association Academy of Pharmacy between 2024 and 2026. Continues to serve as a member of the Board of Specialty in Pharmacy and holds a position on the Board of Directors of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Pharmacy Education Programs (ECZAKDER).

Has been a member of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP) since 2002, regularly participating in its annual scientific congresses. In addition to serving as the Director of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialization Program at Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy, Sancar has published numerous national and international articles and presentations.

Has been a member of the Marmara University Senate since 2021 and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy as well as the Head of the Division of Professional Pharmaceutical Sciences at Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy.
