Prof. Dr. Süleyman Sadi SEFEROĞLU began his academic career as an elementary school teacher. He completed his undergraduate studies in Ankara in the fields of Radio-TV and Educational Sciences, and earned his graduate degrees from Columbia University in the USA. He conducted his postdoctoral research at the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools, and Teaching (NCREST) at Columbia University, focusing on the use of information and communication technologies in education.

From 1998 to 2025, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at the Faculty of Education, Hacettepe University. He currently continues his academic work as a faculty member and Dean of the Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education at the European University of Lefke.

Prof. Dr. SEFEROĞLU has published numerous national and international books, book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles, and conference papers in the field of educational technologies.

His research focuses on educational technologies, artificial intelligence in education, digital transformation, digital literacy and AI literacy, teacher competencies and teacher education, educational policies, online and mobile learning, instructional material design, information security, internet risks and threats, digital addiction, social media, children and media, as well as quality assurance and accreditation in education.
